The journey to transform the 23,000-acre former Pueblo Chemical Depot into a vibrant economic engine reached a major milestone this January. Following initial visioning sessions in 2025, PuebloPlex hosted its third round of public meetings on January 13 and 14, 2026, to present the Draft Preferred Redevelopment Plan, a data-driven roadmap designed to turn community aspirations into reality. While the meetings in August 2025 focused on gathering raw ideas and "vision mapping," the January 2026 sessions shifted the focus to a refined, technical strategy. This updated plan is the first to fully integrate the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) area, which is slated for mission completion and cleanup by 2027.
